Sewing Magazine Round up

One of the reasons I have not been particularly prolific with my sewing recently was the recent Easter weekend… I spent some time with my family in Holland and whilst there I had the opportunity to stock up on all the latest sewing magazines. I love the sewing machines in Holland as whilst the patterns aren’t always that exciting (and the fabric choices can be a bit odd!) – they have a particularly good bit in the middle with the patterns, explaining basic sewing methods. Great for a beginner like me!

From Knipmode May 2010 – a smart blazer with belted waist

A really beautiful summery skirt and shirt:

Halterneck summer dress – except the V neck is probably a bit low for me!

Burda May 2010

Lovely shirt and skirt – especially loving the colours. Very spring/summer this year.

I love the colour of this skirt and I am a big fan of anything with a bow!

I like the unusual darts on the front of this dress:-

Burda spring/summer style 2010

Didn’t find much in this one except for this little jacket is cute:-

Knipmode supplement May 2010 – Denim

I really love the shape of this skirt plus the combination of casual skirt with smart jacket:-

Knipmode April 2010

I love these trousers. I have been looking for a pattern that has the high waisted, matelot/nautical look to it:-

Not that i’d ever wear wet look stretch jersey, but I do like the draping on this dress:-

Cute and simple empire line dress:-

And lastly, a classic fail safe shirt:-
